This winter, something fresh and exciting has popped up at the St. Pete Pier—pickleball courts with stunning city views! From January 17th to March 16th, the Pier transforms into a pickleball paradise, bringing this fun and fast-paced sport to one of the most beautiful locations in St. Pete.
I couldn’t resist the chance to get a sneak peek before the official opening. Let me just say—it did not disappoint! Whether you’re a pickleball pro or just curious about what all the buzz is about, this pop-up is a must-try.
My Experience on the Courts
When I had the chance to preview the courts, I couldn’t pass it up. The setup is located near the Splash Pad, with the St. Pete skyline creating the backdrop. It’s a setting that feels uniquely St. Pete.
At first, I’ll admit, I wasn’t sure if I’d get the hang of it. But after a quick rundown from the on-site staff (super helpful, by the way!), I was hooked. The game is easy to pick up and surprisingly addictive. You can check out my rally highlights in the video we posted on Instagram and Facebook—it’s proof that even a beginner can have fun.
