It’s that time of year again, St. Pete! St. Pete Run Fest is back for its 8th year, and this weekend, Nov. 15-17, DTSP is transforming into a runner’s paradise and celebration central. With over 7,000 runners expected and double that number joining the festivities, this is more than just a race—it’s a city-wide celebration of resilience, community, and good vibes.
Kicking Off with Fun and Furry Friends
The party starts Friday at Albert Whitted Park with the “Good Sweat” Festival and Expo, where more than 50 vendors, live entertainment, and even a Puppy Cuddle Station await. Yes, you read that right—a cuddle station for dog lovers.
At 6 p.m., grab your pup and a leash for the VEG PeliPaws Doggie Dash, a lighthearted walk supporting Pet Pal Animal Shelter. Whether you’re racing, strolling, or just soaking in the vibes, Friday is all about kicking off the weekend with joy.
Saturday: Run, Cheer, Repeat
Saturday starts bright and early with the Rollin’ Oats 10K at 7 a.m., followed by the crowd-favorite Duke Clean Energy Connection 5K, where thousands of runners will fill the streets. But the fun doesn’t stop there—don’t miss the Mascot Race at 10:15 a.m. (hint: bring your camera 📸) and the Pelikids Races at 10:30 a.m., supporting pediatric cancer research.
First-time runner or seasoned marathoner? There’s something for everyone, and new participants are always welcome to join in the 5K fun.
Sunday: The Grand Finale
Sunday belongs to the Regenexx Half Marathon, where nearly 3,000 runners will take on a stunning course showcasing Central Avenue and St. Pete’s iconic waterfront. The race wraps up in front of the Mahaffey Theater, leading right into a high-energy finish line party at 11 a.m. Expect music, celebration, and all the post-race feels.
And don’t forget to swing by the Tailgate Zone, hosted by Body Electric Yoga, for team spirit and good vibes.

More Than a Race: It’s a Love Letter to St. Pete
Run Fest isn’t just about running; it’s a showcase of what makes St. Pete special. From scenic courses winding through our beautiful neighborhoods to supporting local businesses and charities, this event highlights everything that gives our city its unique charm.
“This year has got a little extra meaning for us,” says Run Fest co-founder Ryan Jordan. “I think it’s important, after everything we’ve been through, to put on a good show, to show everyone that we are resilient, we’re open and we’re amazing.”
Local charities like St. Pete Free Clinic and St. Pete Youth Farm benefit from the event, with a focus on sustainability through composting and reducing single-use plastics. Plus, with 20% of participants traveling from out of town, it’s a major boost for local businesses—hotels, restaurants, and shops are ready to welcome visitors with open arms.
